Getting to Lancaster by air:

The closest significant airport to Lancaster is Harrisburg (MDT), about 40 minutes distant. It is small and very quick and easy to fly into and out of. Tickets tend to be slightly more expensive than flying into Baltimore or Philadelphia, but check.

Philadelphia (PHL) and Baltimore (BWI) are about equidistant (around 90 minutes drive), but anyone flying into Philadelphia can take a train directly into Lancaster. Take the SEPTA train directly from the airport to Philadelphia’s 30th street station, and from there Amtrak runs into Lancaster on a very regular basis.
