   That clip truly is touching, but, for me, also very difficult to watch, especially towards the end where he mentioned his mother’s increasing confusion in those last years. A lot of those same concerns are plaguing my family and I, currently, with my own father who seems to be losing some of his memory. Its hard to keep at bay those fears of conversations becoming impossible, rather than just difficult, and not being able to do the simplest things, rather than being just significantly forgetful and easily distracted. I would be lying if I said I didn’t tear up a bit during this clip, especially when it was so easy to see how much Colbert loved his mother.

   Thanks for posting this. It was a beautiful dedication.
