“Sacraments ordained of Christ be not only badges or tokens of Christian men’s profession, but rather they be certain sure witnesses, and effectual signs of grace, and God’s good will towards us….”
— Thomas Cranmer, Article XXV

“But if you need me, show me that you love me
And when I’m feeling down, wearing a frown
You be there when I look around…
Just gimme some kind of sign….”
— Brenton Wood, “Gimme Little Sign”

Nice to know that both guys understood the same thing: that we need a little sign, made just for us, if we are going to believe Somebody loves us. BW grooves a bit more than TC, though.

Brenton Wood is also featured in the soundtrack of (M'bird favorite) Last Days of Disco, with that fun "Oogum Boogum" number.

I kept hearing a guy go on for a while about how there were a bunch of amazing songs that didn't make it to either Pinkerton or the Green Album that he was sure were Weezer's best stuff. This guy has a strong streak of indie snob in him so I wasn't sure if the rumored songs were truly awesome or if the guy just hated the green album on principle. Maybe by the time the deluxe version comes out I'll have a job and can try to hear it if the rumored black hole songs are on it.
