The Wilburys do a decent job with the vocals but it is Prince’s solo, which begins around the 3:30 mark, that is the real gem here. Apparently he had never heard the song before being asked to contribute…

Pretty cool to think that Prince did the whole LoveSexy tour with a giant neon cross… We should get one of those for our next conference.

It's easy to forget what a ridiculous guitar player Prince is. Very cool to off-set Prince's solo with the guy basically apeing George's solos. I can't believe that Prince can never have heard such an iconic guitar song. Funny to think what Harrison might have thought…it can't really be said that Prince's guitar "gently weeps!" What a physical musician!

DZ, your stock just shot up buddy. I love Prince's music. Be sure to check out his interview with Tavis Smiley from earlier in the year. Weird, but interesting as usual.

p.s. The Lovesexy tour was my first concert. 15yr old.

I don’t think the English language has an appropriate word to describe Prince’s musicality. Emotions always well when I hear him play!

BTW, I think his contribution shows that he closely studied the original song. His playing blends the vocals, guitar lines, AND the drum lines of other versions. He is playing all the instruments on his one guitar. Just because he can.
