Hey Everyone,

For tonight’s Mockingbird Hour we’re going to take a look at one of the most influential American musicians of our time, the late, great Johnny Cash. Come one, come all!
You may be thinking, “But I don’t like country.” Or you might be thinking, “Who the heck is Johnny Cash?” Well, he was much more than a country singer and tonight you’ll see why. We’ll be in our usual spot at our usual time: down in the cave at St. George’s Church (E 16th btwn 2nd and 3rd) at 8 pm.
Here’s Johnny singing “Without Love” – sounds a lot like 1 Corinthians 13:)

You have no idea how much I’d like to be there for this particular M’Bird hour.

It will totally rock, no doubt.

Me too. I am SO glad you guys are spending some time with the Man In Black.

Hey big Mike, glad to hear you are a fan too.

And I am not just a fan of the MIB but of a lot of country music in general — AND I don’t care who knows it.

Man, what a song! Nick Lowe and Johnny Cash made such an incredible team (for the couple years that Nick was married to Johnny’s daughter). I LOVE Johnny’s version of Nick’s “Beast In Me” from American Recordings. Pure Gospel goodness…
