Zen and the Art of Law and Gospel – Jim McNeely

Only a couple more left! This one comes to us from our esteemed conference magician:

Even My Slate? Jesus as the Ultimate Mr. Clean – Nick Lannon

Believe it or not, we’re not done with the videos from our 2015 NYC Spring Conference. Here’s a great one from Rev. Lannon:

P.S. We’re hard at work nailing down everything for 2016 (4/14-16). Getting really excited! Look for an announcement in the next week.

Stories of Grace – John Zahl

Couldn’t be more excited about this one – the audio alone wouldn’t have made much sense. Just be sure you have the Kleenex box nearby:

Salty Lamb: The Ludicrous Legacy of Robert Farrar Capon

Don’t stop til you get enough! Of our Spring Conference in NYC, that is. Here comes Mr. Richardson, talking about one of our heroes:

Lay Down Your Weary Tune (in NYC) – David Zahl

The closing talk from our Spring NYC Conference – only loosely related to the talk of the same name given in Tyler:

From the NYC Conference: Absolution Is Just

This from our Calvary-St. George’s host, the one and only Rev. Jacob Smith

Devotions from the 2015 NYC Conference

These gems come from our 2015 conference chaplain Jim Munroe.

I’m New Here! What’s Going On? – Jacob Smith & Sarah Condon

A crowd favorite from our Spring Conference, featuring quite the dynamic duo:

Hidden Holiness: The Experience of Sanctification? – Will McDavid

Carrying on with the videos from our Spring Conferences, here’s Will’s expert exploration of air travel, spiritual and otherwise:

Can’t pass up the opportunity to laud our favorite man-from-Macon, who just finished his final week as full-time staff with Mockingbird after three and a half absurdly fruitful years. Will is heading to law school this Fall–an irony not lost on him, believe me–but thankfully staying close and sticking in Charlottesville. So while he’ll still pop up on here from time to time, do say a prayer for the guy, and if you feel inspired, drop a comment below (or shoot him well wishes at mcdavid.will@gmail.com). It’s been such a privilege and joy to have him on the team.

BONUS QUESTION: What’s your favorite McDavid opus? I have too many to list here. But certainly Christian Battle Lines, God Redeems Our Anthropomorphism, Disgruntled Millennials, the Metropolitan review, the NT Wright takedown, Goodhart’s Law, and of course, A Great Prince Died So a Hedge Knight Might Live would make the cut. The Preamar post still gives me a chuckle too – you know, that time Mockingbird became the international connection point for fans of a Brazilian TV show and its creator(s).

Life at Play – Jamin Warren

First video from our recent conference in NYC is ready to go! Jamin Warren’s presentation still has people buzzing, and I’m sure you’ll agree that it makes a whole lot more sense with the accompanying Powerpoint–the laughs especially. Don’t forget to check out Jamin’s full-time gig, Kill Screen:

2015 NYC Conference Recordings: Clean Slate - Absolution in Real Life

2015 NYC Conference Recordings: Clean Slate – Absolution in Real Life

An incredibly heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped put on this year’s conference in NYC, especially our friends at Calvary St. George’s. We couldn’t be more grateful for how it all went. We are excited to announce that next year’s NY Conference will take place April 14-16, 2016!

Once again we are making the recordings available at no charge; we only ask that those who were not able to attend this year consider making a donation to help cover the cost of the event. Download links are followed by an in-line player for each recording. Almost everything was videotaped, and we’ll…
