The official video for Sinead’s awesome new anthem dropped over the weekend and needless to say there’s a lot going on in it. Almost feels like a tailor-made response to The Huffington Post piece mentioned below:

Thanks David…. I have always had a hidden compassion for Sinead O’Connor ever since her SNL dust up. I love her music and this song is so her… straight forward and honest. And even though she is often charged with the “always angry” label, she is so adept at communicating the heart of the issue. I have heard Tullian T. say that “If we’re not attracting to our churches the same people Jesus attracted we need to revaluate what we are preaching.” This song screams that thought. Plus she rocks.

Where is the Huffington article? I’d love to read it

The line “I am the only one I should adore” is disappointing, although unsurprising. One lyrics website (and only one out of a dozen) lists it as “I AM: the only one I should adore.” It’s wishful thinking at this point but it does place the verse in line with the tenor of the rest of the song. I’m hoping the official lyrics get published somewhere.
